The search for Shazam was getting frustrating. The Justice League had been seemingly inactive for the past few weeks, or off-world Just after he'd arrived in Metropolis he'd seen the photo of the team in the Daily Planet. Shazam standing there so proud in his red, white and gold–what he himself Should have been. The rage had burned so hot in him that day, threatening to explode, erupting and rupturing forth like destruction from a volcano. He'd managed not to say the word, SHAZAM. Otherwise he'd have gone on a murderous rampage just to sate his frustrations.

Since then, he'd been scouring the city, listening to a device called a Poe-Lease Scan-Nohr and browsing a fascinating other dimension the children in his classes called the internet. At the moment he was substituting for a teacher who was out on something the hiring committee had called pregnancy leave. It was promising to see that the slaves who labored to educate the youth of this city were considered valuable enough to receive time off for such endeavors.

One of the students in his class had caught his attention, one William Batson. The boy was smart but dealing with something in his personal life. The boy often showed up to class unbathed, wearing the same clothing he'd worn the day before. So far he hadn't been able to get the lad to open up to him, but he'd brought in food each day for the past three days to test his theory and see whether or not the boy would take the bait. He felt some compassion for the youth and wondered what his story was. After all, Adam was a man who had lost his family, his home, everything, not too long ago.

Not long, considering he'd only been free for the past month or so. He wasn't sure what he wanted to accomplish when it came to this Batson boy, but he felt drawn to act–to do something for him. He was not actively seeking any form of redemption, but he was perhaps not so lost as those who had condemned him said. "Mister Batson, may I speak to you before you go, please."
✖ In ancient Egypt, Teth-Adam was granted magical abilities by Shazam that imbued him with the powers of six Egyptian gods: Shu, Heru, Amon, Zehuti, Aton and Mehen.Originally, he was supposed to be the vessel for the wizard Shazam's powers but Shazam's daughter Blaze made a deal with the God Set. When Adam says "SHAZAM!" he gains access to these combined abilities instead.

✖ Black Adam's abilities include superhuman stamina(endurance, self-sustenance), swiftness(speed, flight), strength(3x as dense tissues), wisdom(clairvoyance, hypnosis, omni-lingual, mystical knowledge) power(mystical transformation, physical enhancement, spell source, advanced healing, inter-dimensional travel tothe Rock of Eternity), and courage(inner strength, perseverance, invulnerability).

✖ To access his powers, Adam must be free to speak. The same goes for any transformations from Black Adam into his human form Adam Teth.

✖ Black Adam seems to fluctuate between what could be considered evil and anti-heroic behaviors. At one time he was a champion of his peoples, until he was betrayed and his family murdered. He has a moral code but it isn't cut and dry. As a general rule he is an active individual, demanding, determined, ambitious, cunning, and he can be ruthless.

✖ Though time has made him wealthy beyond belief, Adam spends his days as a Math and History Teacher, substituting in area high schools and colleges. He uses various aliases, including Adam Teth, Theo Adams, and Theo Teth.

✖ Lightning attacks that cause damage can revert him back to Adam Teth, as can magic of a sufficiently high enough potency.

✖ Adam is working in area high schools trying to find the vessel for Shazam. He does not, yet, know the boy's name but he gets closer every day. Once he finds him he has plans for him ranging from adoption to power absorption. Given the loss of his own son and the pain that caused, anything is possible.

✖ There are still moments when Adam is a good man. He allows his anger and sense of loss to rule him for the most part, however.

✖ He remained in stasis for thousands of years following being imprisoned in a scarab by the wizard Shazam. He has only now been free for a few months. He finds the modern world peculiar but fascinating.
